Course Description
This course will provide a brief history of psychedelics in US medical settings. Participants will explore the ethics of psychedelic care, risks, and how to avoid harming consumers. Presenters will provide an overview of diagnoses and empirical data that supports treatment outcomes.
The course is open to the public. We strongly encourage local (DC, MD, VA) helping and social services professionals to attend. We look forward to sharing some of the ways that we can positively impact the community through plant and psychedelic treatment.
Goals of this Training:
1) Explore post-pandemic mental health concerns.
2) Provide a brief history and overview of the role psychedelic medicine is playing in mental health.
3) Learn how PAP fits with marginalized communities.
CEU's will be offered through our partnership with Maryland Network Against Domestic Violence (MNADV)
