What is Community Care?
In the realm of holistic healing, the intersection between bodywork and trauma therapy presents a powerful opportunity for individuals on their journey to recovery. Acknowledging that trauma affects not only the mind but also resides within the body, the collaboration between bodyworkers and trauma therapists has emerged as a promising approach.
This Course Features A Full Session Demo Video of Collaborative Work Including a 3-month Follow-Up Debrief Video
Participants can also expect to engage with the material using "Embodied Connections" and will be offered tips and tools on how to cultivate their own collaborative practice.
This course includes a combination of videos, written material, and writing prompts for self-development.
For the purposes of this course, we define "Embodiment" as the practice of welcoming the unique sensations of our body as a healing tool. Allowing space for increased awareness, staying present, self-regulation, feeling connected, finding balance, and cultivating knowledge of self, love for self, and feeling empowered to honor our body.
